Ballykilcavan Forestry

All the woodland at Ballykilcavan is managed using sustainable "continuous cover" techniques. Much of it is in the Native Woodland Scheme, which encourages the growth of native species of trees such as oak, ash and hazel.

While most of our timber is sold to commercial sawmills, we have an excellent stock of material for the craft and woodturning market. Our timber has been used to make everything from floorboards and bespoke furniture to yurts and musical instruments.
